Earth Makes No Sound at SBC- it's a wrap
After 10 weeks of rehearsals with the Southbank Climate Choir and a final week of integrating the choir with the full Filament Theatre Chorus, we finally got to share this iteration of Earth Makes No Sound with a packed audience at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on 15th July.
35 performers took the audience on a journey through water, floating plastic, and up into the stratosphere. Then through fire, down to the earth and surging back up through the roots of trees to finally leave it witnessing the power of the wind take away a hat and, even for some, their breath.
Earlier in the day we had led a public workshop which ended up having its only journey around the ground floor of the Southbank Centre!
Thank you to the public programming team who have supported this project so wholeheartedly. We’ll miss our Wednesday evening meetings.
